Prof. P. Laidler main scientific interest has focused on enzymology, glycobiology, biology and biochemistry of cancer (biomechanical properties of cancer cells; signaling pathways triggered by adhesion molecules, growth factors, hormons, etc. and search of ways of intereference in their function in aim to decrease proliferative and invasive potential of cancer cells). He was the leader and main investigator of numerous national and international projects and grants finansed from Polish (KBN, MNiSW, NCN, statutory grants of Faculty of Medicine of JUMC) and European (EC; 3 projects in V and VI FP EU) sources.
